It's Official, He's 5!

Rhett is 5 today!  I can't believe that the time has gone by so fast, and that he will be in Kindergarten next year.  I kept his "home" birthday stuff consistent with the Spiderman theme this year.

 

We also went to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner at Rhett's request.  They make the birthday boys get on a saddle so that can do a Texas Yeehaw.  Rhett started getting stage fright but was willing to hop on the saddle if Emma did it with him.



These kids must have been hungry.  Rhett polished off three dinner roles, a few cheese fries, steak bites, applesauce, peanuts, and then picked the brownie for dessert.  Emma just couldn't agree on the brownie and insisted on her own apple pie for dessert.  I guess they can splurge once in awhile!

At 5 years old, Rhett likes all things Super Hero.  He really likes playing with his friends and is looking forward to starting baseball in the fall.  His favorite food seems to be peanut butter and jelly, and his favorite color seems to be blue, although sometimes he'll list additional colors like black and red.  He loves craft projects and movies.  He is very excited about reading and looks forward to practicing almost every night.  He's the kind of kid that just loves everything, and I couldn't be more proud and happy to be his Mom.
