Yesterday, I took the kids to a little beach birthday party at our "local" beach. A friend of ours has a beach house, so it was the perfect set up to take the kids. There was a house and food, and the beach was a short walk away (short enough for Emma to walk herself, which she insisted on doing very slowly). The pictures don't really do it justice. The kids had so much fun playing in the "dirt" as Emma called it. And, the weather was perfect. It was about 75 degrees with not a cloud in the sky. So, the kids didn't really want to get in the water, but loved walking around, exploring, and getting dirty. Rhett immediately bonded with quite a few of the adults. He noticed the birthday boy, Jared, had his sunglasses hanging around his neck on a string. He was so fascinated by it that Jared offered him his spare string, so now Rhett can wear his sunglasses around his neck too.
