Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

Emma enjoyed her first birthday party yesterday. It was an outside party, but the weather didn't cooperate much. It was overcast and drizzling rain, but that did not stop the kids!

At one point, I turned around and saw Rhett on one of the big grown-up chairs surrounded by grown-ups, just sitting peacefully enjoying his cake and ice cream. I also thought the pink #1 hat was an especially nice touch!



We have about 7 pictures of Emma opening presents, and she is holding this purse in every single one of them. She likes her Mickey purse! What you don't see is that Rhett was opening presents every time I turned to look at him. Oh well, maybe next year she can hold her own on the present-opening.
