Rhett started swimming lessons this week. One of our friends does lessons at her house, so Rhett was already very familiar with Ms. Courtney (plus, he took lessons from her last year). The class has a variety of ages. There are 3 smaller kids that have their parents in the water with them, and then there is Rhett and our 5-year old neighbor Kaden. Rhett and Kaden have to stay on the steps when it's not their turn. When sitting on the steps they usually practice kicking, and in very rare moments they actually sit still. When they sit still, Rhett always insists on being right next to him.

The class focuses on kicking underwater with your arms stretched above your head to catch the steps or side of the pool. Here's Rhett finishing his swim and catching the wall.

He loves swimming! I'm tempted to sign him up again this year because he has so much fun. He's funny too because he tries to talk to Ms. Courtney the whole time, even when it's not his turn. You know, kind of like that kid in class that ALWAYS has additional commentary, questions, etc. for the teacher??? As his mom, I find it really cute and funny!
