Two thumbs up

It didn't take long for Rhett to learn how to do "two thumbs up." And, he understands the concept because sometimes he'll say "just one thumbs up." This was something that I started doing with him since my arms are sometimes too full to chase him down for a hug and a kiss. And, while he can't exactly put on his clothes by himself, he usually puts his sunglasses on the right way!

Emma was so cute yesterday in her zebra-print. This was the first day she wore something with black in it...so fashionable.

Rhett has been doing something funny lately. He'll ask for something, usually some sort of snack, and Shaun will say ask mommy. If I say no, he'll report back to Shaun "she said no" and then start crying. I have a feeling that it's just a matter of time before he'll start lying and saying "she said yes."

Yesterday Rhett talked to his 4 year old cousin on the phone. The conversation was hilarious, it went something like this...

Rhett: Hewwo. What your name?
Stella: Rhett, Rhett, Rhett (followed by a bunch of stuttering)
Rhett: What your name? What your name?
Stella: (finally spits out) Why didn't we do fireworks?
Rhett: What your name?

In the background both grandparents are telling the kids to say bye.

Rhett: I don't want to say bye. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi.

Somewhere in there Stella had already hung up. If you ask Rhett about talking to Stella on the phone, this is what he will tell you "she said FIREWORKS!" It was the first time Rhett has talked on the phone to another kid!
